04/07/2010 - Uruguay soccer has just gone to the next level because they are one of the four best teams in the world. Uruguay played great and luck was in their favor because a penalty kick was awarded to Ghana in the last seconds of the second half of overtime buy they missed the shot of a quarter final game that was played July 2nd. This lead both teams to a penalty shoot out which Uruguay came on top beating the African team 5 - 3.

Uruguay now faces Holland which has shown they are a tough team to beat. Uruguay too has shown they are a tough team but since they are the underdog, they hope luck is still on their side.

Uruguay won a world cup in 1930 and in 1950 and is looking to win their third to tie Germany who has won 3.
