The Haitian Flag

The Haitians take pride on their flag due to their extensive history. It is an offense against their country when someone commits an offense to their flag. This flag has undergone many change over the years.

The last time the flag was changed to what it is today was on February 25 1986, after the fall of Baby Doc and the Duvalier regime. The flag was again changed to two equal-sized horizontal bands, a blue one on top and a red one underneath.

Flag Day is a major national holiday celebrated all over Haiti especially on the grounds of the National Palace.
