Table Rock Oregon - Upper Table Rock - Lower Table Rock
Lower table rock
Table Rock Oregon - if you like hiking, a great place to visit is lower Table Rock and its twin, Upper Table Rock. It rises dramatically 800 feet above the Rogue River Valley, flat-topped remnants of lava flows that filled the canyons of an ancient, meandering Rogue River over seven million years ago. Atop the Table Rocks is a mosaic of grassy mounds, stony flats and vernal, or seasonal, ponds. During spring, you can experience a multi colored display of an endless blanket of wild flowers. When you reach the top, make sure you walk all the way to the edge (a mile long) because the view is impressive. You will be able to contemplate the entire valley and parts of the Rogue River. Make sure you bring a camera so you can capture the marvelous display. View from lower table rock
