St Kitts Flag
St Kitts Flag
The flag of St Kitts and Nevis is divided diagonally from the lower hoist side by a wide black band bearing two white, five-pointed stars; the black band is edged in yellow; the upper triangle is green, the lower triangle is red. It is known commonly that the two stars represent the two islands of St Kitts and Nevis, but in fact they stand for hope and liberty. The green color represents fertility; the red color represents liberation struggle; the black color represents the African heritage; yellow for sunshine.
