Spanish Soccer Team
07/07/2010 - The Spanish soccer team beats Germany 1 - 0 on a game that was played today at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban South Africa. This team played poorly at the beginning of this soccer world cup and suddenly they find themselves in the final game for the first time ever.
Spain dominated Germany most of the game and did not give them the chance to break away on their counter attack which is one of their lethal weapons. The defense was also tight which sopped the Germans in their tracks. The Germans where able to penetrate a few times and where able to make two clear shots at the goal but that was the end of it.
Spain on the other hand, kept advancing and kept cornering Germany making numerous and dangerous plays near the goal and eventually where able to score on a header by Puyol who received the ball from a corner kick late in the game.
Spain showed a soccer they where not able to show in his world cup prior to this game and it came when they needed it the most because we all know Germany is a world soccer power. The Spanish soccer team showed a world class soccer and this is why there is talk they are the best team in the world. They are one win away to really earn this prestigious reputation.
