Selma Oregon
Selma Oregon
Selma is a very small town located in Illinois Valley along Redwood Highway (highway 199). This nice little town has a couple of gas stations, a grocery store, a small market, and a few restaurants. This unincorporated community is about 18 miles from Grants Pass and about 10 miles north of Cave Junction. If you like nature, you will like this town because it is surrounded a lot of trees and there are mountains near by. Deer Creek runs through the valley and empties its waters in the Illinois River. During summer, this area is like heaven and there are lots to do besides hiking. The rivers provide an opportunity for catching the big one that got away or you can just go swimming. You can go camping too because there are a lot of campgrounds especially at Lake Selmac which is near by.
