Mexico finds itself in second place right behind Uruguay with 4 points each in group A. Mexico must beat Uruguay on a game that will be played June 22nd to secure a position in the second round.

06/22/2010 - Mexico qualifies to play in the second round after losing to Uruguay 1 - 0. Mexico and South Africa ended up with 4 points a piece but Mexico scored more goals than South Africa an this puts Mexico in second place.

Mexico has its hands full because they will play against Argentina June 26 in Port Elizabeth at Nelson Mandela stadium.
