Eagle Point Oregon

Eagle Point is a nice quiet little town that you can visit and explore if you feel like you need to get away from your hectic daily life. Just relax by driving around looking at the old houses and maybe make a stop at the Butte Creek Mill which is a national treasure.

"The mill began operation in 1872, built by the pioneers with double-bitted axes and hand saws felled trees that were already more than one hundred years old… The stones (1,400 pounds each) that do the work were quarried in France, assembled in Illinois, shipped around the horn to Crescent City and then carried over the mountains by horse and wagon and put into service more than 134 years ago."

If you like to play golf, Eagle point is also the home of one of the finest Golf courses in Oregon. It "was selected in the top 10 public courses by Golf Week Magazine for 2007. Eagle Point was also ranked 8th amongst public courses in Oregon in Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" for 2009 and is ranked 11th in the state of Oregon by the Oregon Golf Association."
