Andres Iniesta Andres Iniesta became Spain's new hero when he scored Spain's only goal against the Netherlands in the 116th minute of the final world cup game that was played July 11th at Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg. This goal gave Spain its first world cup champion ever making it the 8th team in the world to with the cup.Iniesta is a midfielder that currently plays for Barcelona which is a team of the Spanish soccer league. Iniesta was born May 11, 1984 in Fuentealbilla, Spain. Fuentealbilla is a small village and municipality located in the province of Albacete, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. This village is located to the northeast of the center of the city of Albacete and as of 2009 it had a population of 2,071. The Iniesta goal was the only goal he scored in this world cup. But what a goal! If you want to talk about a "Golden Goal", this is one of them. It will be called the "Iniesta goal" for ever.
